The building we call home is known around Austin as “The Pink House.” Built
in 1907 as a family residence for a University of Texas professor, it once sat in a quiet area
called Gypsy Grove—back when Guadalupe was still a dirt road, and Shoal Creek was a
neighborhood swimming spot.
The house earned its nickname years later, when it operated as a bright pink hair salon. While
the exterior has since been updated to a muted mix of yellow and pink, the name stuck. Today,
it remains a small piece of Austin history in the middle of a fast-growing city.
Elephant Productions operates out of The Pink House as a full-service production company,
creating content for organizations that need clear, effective communication. From corporate and
training videos to more story-driven pieces, the focus is always the same: make the message
land and make the process work for the people involved.
