About Us

Decades of experience

At Elephant Productions, we value relationships; with clients, with creative partners, and with each other. That’s a large part of why we’ve been in business for over 30 years. We’re proud to say most of our work comes from client referrals.

Jeff Hastings and Quincy Lowman founded the company to bring a better experience to businesses seeking a video production partner — and the same mission drives our work today.

Let us show you the difference in working with Elephant Productions.

Our Team

Meet The People Who Get The Job Done

Quincy Lowman

Owner

Quincy Lowman has spent his career bringing cinematic production standards and practices to projects for businesses and nonprofits.

While he values a beautiful shot, Quincy says Elephant Productions prioritizes the client experience and the accuracy of the content.

“It’s still about the story. We absolutely adhere to advanced production standards, like beautiful lighting, camera, and art direction, but when we ask the client their feedback on a take, it’s about whether we are correctly portraying the content, not whether the shot looks good. That should be a given.”

These days, Quincy feeds his lifelong love of sailing on Lake Travis.

Jeff Hastings

Owner

Jeff started in the industry as a producer—coordinating crews, technical details, and scheduling. Today, he works closely with clients on message development and making sure the project comes together as promised.

“We’ve led large, complex projects in healthcare and education. I think our background in planning and managing these complexities benefits our clients. But we also want our clients to enjoy the process, which is why we try to make it as simple and straightforward as possible. This allows them to focus their efforts on their goals, leaving the details and planning to us.”

Jeff has recently discovered brewing Yaupon tea, which is made from the dried leaves of the Yaupon tree, which is the only Texas native, naturally caffeinated plant.

John McIver

Post-Production Supervisor

John’s been editing stories for Elephant Productions for over twenty-five years. While he enjoys the variety of video projects that pass through his edit suite, he gets the most reward from the stories that deal with people overcoming hardships.

“Our non-profit clients are a joy to work with. Those human stories require an eye for detail, to find that perfect nugget that will convey the emotion to the viewer. I think the most valuable skill an editor can have is patience. The patience to sift through the material to find those moments that enlighten or surprise.”

Esther Schwartz

Producer

Esther has a head for details and a heart for clients. She’s the first person you’ll meet in your project. As the producer, she handles all of the video project details, from the first meeting to the final sign-off.

Esther’s worked for many video production companies but says Elephant has a unique approach. “They value taking care of the client, of course, but they also care about the content. They’re the only ones I’ve ever worked with who spend so much time making sure our team understands what the client is trying to communicate.”

Esther plays violin in a band called Madisons.

Paul Patrin

Editor/Audio/Field Production

Paul is a 20-year veteran of the video production industry and started with Elephant Productions in 2012. If Paul doesn’t know something, he’ll learn it, which makes him a well-rounded addition to the team. He handles audio, camera work, and provides grip services during video production shoots. In post-production, he works as a colorist and produces motion graphics.

“Elephant Productions is unique in a few ways, but the most important to me is their transparency. Clients know what they’re getting.”

Paul has two daughters and three chickens at home.
